Robotic Engineer
Duties and
Responsibilities: A robotics
engineer is a behind the scenes designer who is responsible for creating robots
and robotic systems that are able to perform duties that humans are either
unable or prefer not to complete for a variety of reasons. Through their
creations, a robotics engineer helps to make jobs safer, easier, and more
efficient, particularly in the manufacturing industry. Integrate robotics with
peripherals, such as welders, controllers, or other equipment. Make system
device lists or event timing charts. Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected
maintenance problems. Design end-of-arm tooling. Analyze and evaluate robotic
systems or prototypes. Install, calibrate, operate, or maintain robots.
Salary: Average salary of a Robotics Engineer is $94,310,
salaries start from $49,140 and go up to $144,000 depending on your level of expertise
and education
Education: At least a bachelor's degree and graduate degrees
may prove useful if not necessary in many cases. Relevant majors include
robotics, computer science, and engineering fields. Coursework should cover
robotic fundamentals, electronics, industrial applications, and
computer-systems design.
Reflection: This seems fun helping others but I just don’t feel
it is right for me or maybe it is and I just don’t know right now but for now I’m
sticking to be an OB/GYN.
