Presidents Day
President’s day originated from Washington’s Birthday. The story
of presidents day date began in 1800. While Washington’s Birthday was an
unofficial observance for most of the 1800s, it was not until the late 1870 that
it became a federal holiday. President’s
day is also is sometimes understood to be a celebration in memory of George Washington
and Abraham Lincoln but also the birthdays and lives of all presidents. This holiday
takes place the third Monday of February.
